The BS4 Hard Plastic Lyra Bell mallets produces a clean focused tone on the aluminium bars of the Lyra bell, the use of brass mallets will damage the bars of the Lyra Bell. The BS Chalklin mallets are designed for use with a number of instruments including the Glockenspiel, Xylophone, Vibraphone and Marimba. The BS4 Bell Lyra mallet has a hard plastic head.
